Why Her Tribe To Thrive

Hi, I’m Natalie

A full time working mum, to a toddler son and baby daughter.

I’ve spent the last 15+ years working in Human Resources, for the most part in male dominated industries. During this time, I have worked with many women who have felt insecure in the workplace, who have been unsure of how to take the next step in their career, or who have returned to work after parental leave low in confidence and completely overwhelmed by how to balance competing priorities of work and family life. Since becoming a mum, I have become even more passionate about supporting women as they navigate through the different stages of life.  And what has become even more apparent to me, is our need for a supportive tribe! Somebody (or somebodies!) who is there to support us in times of need, and to cheer us along when we are going strong.

Why Her Tribe to Thrive?

I am passionate about seeing women succeed, in the workplace and in their personal lives, and every service offered via Her Tribe to Thrive is designed especially to support women as they navigate through the different stages of life, to help you take control, to feel empowered and to thrive!

As a working mum I recognise the struggle (and the juggle), of balancing both mental and physical challenges of making career and mum life work harmoniously. I also know I’m not alone when it comes to wanting an amazing career, but I’m well aware for any of these desires to come true we need our supporters. People in the background cheering us along. People who have faith in us when we’ve lost the faith in ourselves. This is why I have set up Her Tribe To Thrive – an online directory aimed at empowering women. It is to showcase these wonderful women kicking goals in the business world, following their dreams and taking chances. It is to support them and to create a community of others who also support them.

“Every company listed on Her Tribe to Thrive is the the dreamchild of a female”.

Many of these women simply noticed a gap in the market and then worked their butt off to bring it to life – often while balancing another job and family commitments. So not only am I bringing you some fantastic products and services, by buying from these women you are also cheering them along and helping ensure their success. And, you are also playing a part in powering the ‘femeconomy’. Or, as I like to refer to it, as ‘a circular economy for women‘.

I hope that by the time my children are young adults that things like gender wage gaps don’t exist, and that women can be seen as both a mother and a career women and that the two are not mutually exclusive. Until then, we each need to take a stand to make a difference.

Her Tribe to Thrive benefits women two-fold – firstly, I love that I am able to showcase quality products and services designed especially for women, and secondly, by encouraging women to spend their money with female-owned organisations, this will surely have long lasting positive effects, right?

The best bit is, I have gone out and found all of these amazing businesses for you! Whether it be help with the finances, negotiating flexible working options, information on postnatal depression (or supporting someone else through PND), preparing for a baby or looking after your mental and physical health – we have it all! There’s even gourmet chocolate bars! We are here to be your supportive tribe as and when you need us!

So please join me on this journey and show your support to these women in business who are kicking major goals and following their dreams.

Natalie xx
